Sewaholic's Saltspring for the pattern. It's a simple sundress that lets the fabric do the talking. Since the fabric is sheer, I decided to line the entire dress, and I used a knit. Not sure what the rules are on using a knit lining with a woven fabric, but the result is a dress that is exceedingly comfortable to wear.
second Saltspring, the construction was easy going. The only challenge was working with the thin chiffon. I made a few small changes: First, since my fabric was a border print, I decided to make the skirt out of a large, gathered rectangle and made it as long as the fabric would allow to preserve as much of the border print as possible. Also, I made the straps thicker--about 1" thick. I know my hair is covering the straps in most of these pictures, so you'll just have to believe me!
