I've been doing more Stashbusting Sewalong sewing since my Bloomers, Tank Top, and Undies, OH MY! jammie set. Since this month's theme is Itty Bits, I used up more small pieces in my stash.
First up, does this top look familiar? It's my Bright Neon Tee. I love the neon-goodness of this fabric, but I don't ever wear it. I decided to see if I could make it more wearable--this involved two things. 1) I took in the sleeves to make them more form-fitting, and 2) I added something special--can you tell what it is? A POCKET! I used a neon yellow scrap to add a tiny pocket (this was truly an itty bitty bit!)! I think it adds some visual interest to the front. Time will tell if it's enough to make me wear it more often.
Second, this was made from an old T-shirt of my hubby's. This T-shirt is super-soft and was well-loved by my hubby until it got a hole in the back. I rescued it from the trash--the fabric was too soft to throw away, and it's been sitting in my stash for a while. I don't know if refashioning an old T-shirt from my stash officially counts under the Stashbusting Sewalong rules, but I say it does! I carefully cut out a tank top, avoiding the hole. I also used a blue applique piece that I had in my stash, as well as some blue elastic. I let the fabric and the applique dictate how to make this top, and I think it turned out fantastic! Can't wait for the weather to warm up to wear it.
Third, another camisole-like tank top. I used So Zo's Free Camisole pattern as the basis for this one--using a T-shirt for the fabric. It's gold, so I can wear it to work on Fridays under sweaters or a blazer. I used the same sewing process that I used for my I Heart Jammie Sets.
Fourth, more undies! I'm officially obsessed with sewing undies! It's fun, and I love having special undies. This pair is made from the same emerald velour that I used to make my Luxurious Lounge Top. Now I have matching undies, and velour undies are very special!

I love all the refashions and I'm sooooooooo tempted to make undies! What pattern did you use?
